A complete visual identity system for a boutique architecture firm — logo, typography, color system, and print collateral that communicates precision and warmth.

The Brief

Meridian Architecture came to us wanting to shed a dated identity that no longer reflected the quality of their work. They needed something that felt considered and timeless — a mark that could live on blueprints, business cards, and a signage system for their new studio.

Process

We began with an audit of their portfolio and client base, mapping the emotional territory their work occupies: precision without coldness, structure with warmth. That tension shaped every decision that followed.

The wordmark draws from classic grotesques — a nod to the architectural drafting tradition — while the custom ligature between the i and d creates a subtle structural form that rewards close inspection.

The color palette moves away from the typical architecture-firm black-and-white toward a warm off-white and deep charcoal, with a single accent pulled from the mineral tones in their most celebrated project.

Outcome

The identity launched with their new studio opening and has been featured in two regional design publications. Meridian reports that new clients frequently mention the brand as a reason they reached out.
